Located in the heart of the village of Pegswood, we are pleased to have been able to design, fabricate and erect a retail unit purpose built for the Co-op.
The steel structure has been designed to BS5950 and is compliant with CE legislation. It weighs circa 11 tonnes, and has been painted with one coat of zinc phosphate primer and finish coat of alkyd based paint. Galvanized purlins, sleeves and sag rods have been fitted to accommodate cladding.
We have installed Kingspan tile support composite panels to the roof, with a Marley concrete tile over. 115mm of insulation has been fitted to give a total U value of 0.18W/m2/K.
The main walls are of brick and block cavity wall construction, with a 100mm cavity filled with fibre quilt insulation.
Internally, we have installed a reinforced concrete floor with a smooth finish.
We installed a shop front and main entrance door to our clients specification, including an ATM panel, automatically opening doors, and toughened safety glass.
