Longhirst Golf Club, Longhirst
Located on the outskirts of Morpeth, Longhirst Golf Club, boasts two beautiful but different courses, offering the challenge of the American style Lakeland courses, coupled with the stunning surroundings of the Northumberland countryside.
In addition to this, Longhirst Golf Club now have a Driving Range built by Northern Structures.
The new facility is constructed using structural steelwork to BS5950 standard and is clad to form the a mono-pitch driving range. It measuring 42.7m long x 5.5m wide x 3.25m height to eaves. There 7 No. 6.1m bays, with a 4.0m long x 6.1m wide lean-to on the north east side proving storage.
Northern Structures Limited designed, fabricated and erected the 6.33 tonnes of structural steelwork and clad it using single skin 0.7mm thick HP200 PVC coated profiled steel sheets, with the sides and gables similarly clad using 0.55mm thick sheets.
A concrete floor was added to finish the job prior to the driving range equipment being installed.
Externally, concrete ramps with handrails have been installed giving access for all; and gravel pathways and raised planters give a fantastic look to the finished facility.
