East Bedlington Community Centre

Following the ward of £845,715 from Big Lottery Reaching Communities (Buildings), we were approached by a client to supply and erect structural steelwork to form both a lift shaft and support throughout the East Bedlington Community Centre.

In total we used just under 10 tonnes of steel. Each section was fabricated and painted within our Amble factory.

Due to the lack of space around the lift shaft, we erected the steelwork at our factory in Amble, transported it to site and craned it into position through a hole in the roof.  This meant closing part of the road in order to allow for the off load and craning into position.

Once the steel work was in place, our expert team of erectors fixed it into place and made sure all was as per the plans.
